Using the Spirit of Kwanzaa to Bridge the COVID Divide

An Interdisciplinary Panel, Community Forum, & Virtual Kwanzaa Celebration!

As the holiday season and winter weather gear up, fears about the COVID spread are increasing. We are all managing the internal and external pressures to make choices related to the COVID vaccine, mask wearing, social distancing, and strategies to stay healthy. At times, these decisions have divided relationships and caused tension within our families and communities. How can we use the spirit of Kwanzaa to focus on reconnecting and renewing our strength as a community of people amid the COVID divide?

The dialogue will focus on building healthy communication and collaborative problem-solving around COVID-related decisions, along with routine holistic wellness practices that can be used by all to promote a healthy lifestyle. The forum is designed to transcend the polarities that exist in COVID conversations, by striving to find balance in what we think and do as a collective. Join NYABPsi in this important dialogue and celebration of Kwanzaa! Resources will be provided as a Kwanzaa gift to all attendees. FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!
